Habitat Parisien review: your own little flat in the centre of Paris
While we were in Paris last week we got the opportunity to stay in a flat in the centre of the city (literally 1 minute away from Place Vendôme, which was kind of crazy!!) We were invited by Habitat Parisien, a parisian rental agency that rents one of a kind flats in Paris. Here’s what I thought of our stay:
the CONs // there were no products in the flat (we had to buy shampoo, shower gel, etc). Also, the check in / check out process is made pretty difficult if you have a lot of luggage, as you cannot leave them in the flat or building before and after your stay.. So for example if you arrive at 10 am, the check in is at 3 pm so you will have to take care of your luggage yourself (whereas in hotels you can usually leave them at the reception) and same goes for the check out. You can actually leave your luggage at Habitat Parisien’s office but it is in another part of the town. I guess this must actually be the case whenever you rent a flat, but I’m not really used to it!
the PROs // it’s a REAL Parisian experience, you get to feel like you live in the City of Lights for a few days. The flat we stayed in was super clean and it seemed really new too, which is always a plus. The WiFi worked really well, which is quite rare when traveling.. I also feel like it’s slightly more affordable than hotels in the centre. The flat we stayed in was 250 euros per night, which seems huge but compared to hotel prices in the same area it’s pretty ok.
DISCLAIMER: I was invited by Habitat Parisien to stay in one of their apartments for two nights but I was not paid to share this review. All I had to do for them was go and test their service. Everything I say here is 100% coming from me :)
