Luxury experience with Glion Hospitality School
As few weeks ago Luca and I were lucky to be asked to take part in a luxury experience in Switzerland, organized by no less than one of the world's most prestigious hospitality schools: the Glion Institute. Being both born in Switzerland we already knew a lot about it, but it was obviously a completely different thing to experience the luxury industry from a behind the scenes perspective.
From a caviar tasting to a visit of Patek Philippe's original salons on the first day, we then learned more about the art of both cooking and cocktail making with some teachers from Glion, before ending our second day with drinks at Claude Nobs' chalet – which was my favorite part. You guys know how much I love music, and let's just say that looking at archive images from Montreux Jazz Festival in the home of the guy who founded it was kind of crazy. In the evening we got to see Silent Neighbor perform live at Montreux Jazz Café – it was a great discovery for me, if you guys don't know the band I'd definitely recommend checking them out!
In between all of these exciting activities we had the chance to stay at Lausanne Palace & Spa and then Montreux Palace, both of which we of course knew but since we live so close, we had never actually stayed there. Again, when you hear that icons such as Prince used to stay at this hotel during the festival well it kind of gives you goosebumps.
I hope that you guys will like these few shots! The most amazing thing about this experience was neither the luxurious hotels nor the delicious food – it was all the incredible people we got to meet. Passionate teachers, staff and brand representatives and also, of course, fellow bloggers from all over the world. It was a gorgeous few days <3
