My tips for having the best Valentine’s Day (even if you’re single!)
Valentine's Day with Lindor
There are traditionally two aspects to Valentine’s Day, two ways of living it: there are those who are single, and those who have found someone to share their lives with. Well I think that in 2017, we should break this dual conception of Valentine’s Day and appreciate it as a celebration of love, no matter what.
Here’s my tip for you if you haven’t found your other half yet: don’t feel bad about it! Don’t spend Valentine’s Day being sad and alone! Take advantage of this special day to celebrate love in all its forms; call your mom, give out free hugs in the streets, smile to strangers, go do some charity work for the day. Make change happen in the world, on a small scale, by spreading love around you. It’s the most important thing.
Now of course, if you’ve found the person you want to spend your life with, you’re probably going to want to spend some special quality time with them. For me, Valentine’s Day is the perfect moment for a romantic getaway. I’m not so much into fancy, over-crowded restaurants or cliché movie dates… To me, going away with the person you love, even just for one night, is the perfect plan. It doesn’t have to be far away, and it doesn’t have to be the most expensive hotel in town.
Of course who says Valentine’s Day also says chocolate - as you may know my all-time favourite chocolate brand, Lindt, has one of the best selections of treats at this time of the year. Whether you want to go all out with a huge box of chocolates for your loved one or if you’d rather have small gifts for everyone you love, I’m sure you’ll find what you’re looking for with Lindt. I’m sure everyone around you will be happy with a box of chocolates that are as tasty as they are good looking.
