U.S road trip: the final stop
my favorite place in Los Angeles
After Palm Springs, the Grand Canyon, the Horseshoe bend and Las Vegas, we finally made it back to Los Angeles for the last week of our U.S road trip. We had planned a ton of fun activities in L.A, we went to Universal Studios for a day which was LOTS of fun (hello Harry Potter themed area) and also to Disneyland (loved loved loved it), and I was also really excited to finally discover the iconic Griffith Observatory.
I had already been to L.A once with my parents but we did not have time to drive up to the observatory back then, and after seeing the place in so many movies and online as well, I was pretty damn excited to make it to this magical place. It’s as dreamy as it seems, especially at sunset, and the hikes you can do in the area are really nice as well.
As much as I loved L.A it felt nice to step back from the busy city centre and spend some time in nature, walking up the hills while enjoying the breathtaking view over the city of angels. You can get quite close to the Hollywood sign and also, of course, visit the space themed exhibition in the observatory itself. 100% recommended.
