happy 2018 everyone ♥
Hey everyone, first of all I would like to wish you all a beautiful, inspiring and magical new year!
I’m sorry I’ve been so MIA lately. Both on here and on YouTube, I’ve kept my activity to a minimum because
- I had a TON of things to do, admin wise and for uni as well
- I’ve been having quite a few problems with my health lately – nothing too dramatic but as you may know I suffer from eczema, and it’s gotten worse over the past couple of weeks. This forced me to take a step back, do less, and try to relax.
I also did not feel great because of the red patches on my skin, tried to avoid wearing make up for a while which resulted in a lack of videos on YouTube – I’m so sorry about this. It’s starting to get better, I’m working on my mental health and trying to heal myself naturally so it’s taking a bit more time than with traditional occidental medicine, but hopefully it’s all for the best.
After a rather tough patch I am now feeling super inspired and motivated again, I’m excited for the year ahead and hope I’ll be able to get completely back on track as soon as possible! I have a million different projects for 2018. Although I did also try to travel a bit less over the past couple of weeks, recently my wanderlust kind of woke up again and I am now craving a trip to L.A (not gonna lie, I did almost buy Coachella passes last weekend). I feel like I need holidays, over the Christmas break I worked quite a lot and I find myself dreaming of far away beaches, or calming yoga retreats in nature somewhere. Iceland is also super high on my list, along with NYC and Hong Kong.
So yes, 2018 is gonna be a great year for me, and I hope it will be for you too! I hope everything you’ve ever dreamed of will come true. Remember to never give up, always fight for your dreams and stand up for what you believe.
If you’ve watched Oprah Winfrey’s Golden Globes speech (if not, do yourself a favor) or basically if you’ve been on social media over the past few months you’ve probably noticed that the world is starting to move in a better direction, on some aspects at least. These whole #metoo and now #timesup campaigns are incredible, they raise awareness and bring social issues into the spotlight, so that change can happen. Yes, we still have Donald Trump provoking worldwide waves of face palms every single week and yes, climate change is more real than ever, BUT there are also positive things happening and I think this is what we should focus on. Each year around Christmas time I receive a letter from WWF where they detail all the improvements that happened in the world over the past year and gosh, it’s so heartwarming to read (you can also have a look at this Barack Obama thread for more hope giving news) So let’s make this year a positive one, filled with hope and respect. Instead of following the lives of stupid people on social media, let’s listen to people who share a message – let’s use our time and voice to make change happen.
I know I am running a bit late for this but I still wanted to share a few of my favorite moments of 2017 on here – hope you’ won’t mind! And here’s to the best year ever, bring it on 2018!
