My favorite places in Paris (food, shopping, hotels)

It had been more than a year since I last was in Paris and even though I could never really picture myself living there, I love Paris. It was such a nice little getaway, after spending a few days in France with Ruinart we decided to extend the stay and celebrate my 25th birthday in the city of lights, which was an absolute dream. We stayed in the 7ème arrondissement, went shopping in Le Marais and had the best birthday dinner I could have wished for – I had a great time and decided to collect all of these little addresses so that I could share them with you :)

Season
1 Rue Charles-François Dupuis, 75003 Paris
We discovered this spot in Le Marais and it is really cool. It’s very trendy, I think it is a fashionista favorite (I saw a lot of people going there during Fashion Week) and after having tried it myself I can say it is definitely worth a stop

Wild and The Moon
55 Rue Charlot, 75003 Paris
This place reminded me of L.A. quite a lot – tons of healthy, plant based options, cold pressed juices (LOVED the limited edition they did in collaboration with Off White for Fashion Week) and even though the place is quite cramped I will definitely go back for more next time I am in town.

La Bauhinia at the Shangri-La
10 Avenue d’Iéna, 75116 Paris
I was invited by the Shangri La hotel for a birthday dinner at La Bauhinia at it was absolutely perfect! They offer both French and South East Asian dishes, with many vegetarian and vegan options. The plant based desserts were a dream as well, I swear I had never tasted anything like them!! I can’t wait to go back. They are actually super eco oriented, once a month they offer 100% plant based menus and they also have a vegan afternoon tea which I will definitely have to try next time I am in Paris.
Malabar
88 Rue Saint-Dominique, 75007 Paris
We discovered this place ages ago and since we were staying at the same hotel this time, we went back and fell in love with it all over again. It’s a typical Parisian café with a super cool atmosphere; the service is a bit slow but everyone is really nice, and their french fries are veeeery good.

Used book cafe at Merci
111 Boulevard Beaumarchais, 75003 Paris
I love the cozy vibe of this place, such a cool spot to hang out after a little shopping session in the concept store. Their homemade ice tea is my fave!

Shakespeare and Company
37 Rue de la Bûcherie, 75005 Paris
I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love this place!! I have been an absolute bookworm my entire life and this place is my definition of heaven. Every time we go Luca ends up waiting for me outside and I have to force myself to leave, I swear I could spend an entire day in there! Their resident cat Aggie makes it even more cozy. If you love books then please, please stop at Shakespeare and Company next time you’re in Paris :)

En Voiture Simone
43 Rue Charlot, 75003 Paris
We stumbled across this place randomly in Le Marais and I loved the curated selection of vintage designer pieces the shop offers. On the racks you could find little gems from brands such as YSL, Chloé and Dior, and I actually ended up going home with an incredible Dior jacket, score!

Valois Vintage
8 Rue des Saussaies, 75008 Paris
Another amazing vintage designer shop – their selection is huge and they cannot showcase everything in store (they told me) so they have a website and the staff is always happy to help you find the piece of your dreams! Lots of beautiful bags and jewelry from brands such as Chanel and YSL – again, couldn’t leave empty handed and since it was my birthday Luca treated me to a beautiful YSL pin, such a unique find :)

Kiliwatch
64 Rue Tiquetonne, 75002 Paris
This is more like a thrift store, although still quite curated. The selection is really good, it’s the kind of store you need to spend some time in to find what you’re looking for but definitely worth a look if you’re into vintage! Also much more affordable than the other two I mentioned.
Merci
111 Boulevard Beaumarchais, 75003 Paris
I discovered this place a while ago and every time I am in Paris I kind of have to stop at Merci to see what’s new. It’s the perfect Parisian concept store, even if you don’t plan on buying anything it’s a nice place to hang out for a while.

- HOTEL -
Thoumieux
79 rue Saint-Dominique 75007 Paris
Fell in love with this place the last time we went and now I can confirm that the Thoumieux is my favorite hotel in Paris! When we walked into our room the radio was playing Penny Lane (instant 5 star for me haha, I’m such a Beatles fan) and the entire place is just like a home a way from home. Love the decor, love the Aesop products in the bathroom and the lovely staff – plus they offered us an upgrade (and cakes) since it was my birthday, which was so kind of them! We’ll definitely be back.
