Introducing Zephyr

I haven’t been on here forever, but I do have a good reason – I was working really, really hard on my newest project. As you may have seen on social media, about a month ago I launched a sustainable fashion brand, Zephyr.

According to the United Nations, the fashion industry produces 10% of global carbon emissions –– that’s more than all international flights combined. Zephyr aims to challenge the status quo by exploring a new approach to fashion design and production. Every aspect of the creative process is informed and structured by sustainability and a fundamental respect for the environment and garment workers. From the outer material to the lining, including interlining and label; from the dust bag to the cardboard box the bag is shipped in – everything is as earth friendly as possible. All Zephyr products are made from 100% vegan, GOTS certified organic materials, and the production takes place in a fair-trade, transparent and ethical London workshop that empowers long term unemployed women from the local community by teaching them how to sew and providing them with support and access to work opportunities. Zephyr is also committed to donating 1% of all sales to environmental nonprofits.

The first launch revolves around the DYLAN bag, a minimalistic everyday bag made from premium organic corduroy and initially available in three colours.

I worked on this project for 1,5 years before finally launching it at the beginning of September. I poured my heart and soul into this, and I am so happy to be able to share it with you today. Hope you’ll like what I have created :)

Lots of love x
